“We’ve got the Joy, Joy, Joy down in our hearts” this month as we continued our study of the Fruits of the Spirit. During our Bible Time, we learned that all Christians need Joy in our lives and that we must help others to experience Joy, too! We talked about how God sends us a bundle of joy through the birth of babies. We studied about the Joy brought by some special babies of the Bible—Moses, Samuel and Jesus.

We have also been very busy sharing our Joy with others this month by……

• Sponsoring a “Giving Tree” and collecting 45 gifts for the Emotional Health Stabilization organization. This agency serves those that are mentally disabled and are unable to work. These gifts were collected for their family members.
• Creating a handmade Christmas gift for the After Schoolers’ parents
• Preparing 150 “Jesus Loves You SNOW Much” wooden snowmen to be distributed to the men and women at the Rescue Mission
• Making “Legend of the Candy Cane” bookmarks to be distributed to the Central United Methodist congregation on the Sunday before Christmas
• Celebrating the birth of Jesus with a gift exchange and a Happy Birthday Party

Joy fully, we would like to lift up special thanks to Aaron Kelderhouse for hosting the Happy Birthday Jesus party and to the rest of the CUMC congregation for your love and support! We hope that as you enter this new year that your heart will be filled the joy of God’s love!
